For Adam's birthday, Jeff and Jenn {his oldest brother and sister-in-law} gave us tickets to a Pirates game. I don't know much about baseball, but I like going to baseball games. They just feel like summer to me.
The Pirates are one of the worst teams in baseball. But they have one of the nicest stadiums.
They played the New York Mets and won!
We treated ourselves to our favorite ball game snacks.
We loved the pierogie race. Too funny!
The game was a special "sky blast" event, so there was a concert and fireworks afterward. Huey Lewis and the News played. They were pretty good, but I only recognized one of their songs - The Power of Love. It's from Back to the Future.
The fireworks were amazing! Definitely the highlight of the evening. I took way too many pictures, so I will just leave you with my two favorites.
Another highlight of the weekend was our usual Sunday homemade pizza & movie night. We watched Gnomeo and Juliet. It was so funny. Have you seen it?
