Why, hello there! It's been a while! Turns out, taking care of an infant and trying to see everyone we love doesn't leave much time for blogging.
Last Saturday, I turned 23! As I recounted in my last post, we were supposed to fly into Houston on Friday night, but we got bumped and ended up arriving early Saturday morning instead. My dad picked us up from the airport, we tracked down our luggage, took much-needed showers at their house, and left Claire at home while we went out for a little lunch date.
We went to Pappasito's, my favorite Tex-Mex place. I reunited with my true love, chile con queso!
After lunch, we browsed in Barnes & Noble for a while, where we spent most of our time in the children's section, of course. We took a rare family nap in the afternoon and then my parents hosted a birthday barbecue.
Claire's namesake, my almost-grandma Mrs. Spiering, came to visit with her granddaughters, Rachel and Claire.

ReplyDeleteit's lemon with cream cheese icing. but it's actually from a little bakery in my hometown called "nothing bundt cakes", ha ha!
