Happy Halloween!

Claire is obviously too young for trick-or-treating so we had to search for another excuse to dress her up in a cute costume. There's a little town about half an hour from us, Snoqualmie, that has a still-operating vintage train. They had a special themed ride for Halloween weekend and since the whole experience lasts about an hour, we thought it would be perfect for Claire.

 Halloween

On Saturday morning, we donned our costumes and headed to Snoqualmie.  Claire was a hamburger...

And we were ketchup and mustard.

Halloween

We had fun coming up with couple costumes our first two years of marriage, so we had to keep the tradition going with a family costume this year! In 2010, we were Mario and Luigi.

And in 2011, we were a trash can and recycling bin.

Halloween Costumes

Since we weren't really doing anything special this year, I didn't want our costumes to be too over-the-top. I just painted the Heinz logos on some basic t-shirts and called it a day.

I'm happy with how they turned out, especially from afar. Up close, you can definitely tell that they're homemade.

Anyway, back to the train ride. Claire really liked looking out the window.

Halloween

After all, there were some pretty gorgeous views.

Halloween

Our favorite part was going up to the top of Snoqualmie falls, for even more beautiful scenery.

Halloween

On Sunday, we carved the pumpkin we found at the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago.  We wanted to include Claire somehow, but she's a little young to be wielding a knife. So, we traced her hands, put her down for a nap, and turned our pumpkin into a jack-o-moose.

Halloween

At least, that's the idea. I can't decide if he looks more like a moose or a cow. Regardless, here he is all lit up at the front door.

Halloween

Well, we are off to a little trick-or-treating event at Adam's office followed by $2 burritos at Chipotle.  Hooray for getting more mileage out of these costumes!
