We spent the weekend at Rednal, the Newman Center's retreat house about an hour outside of the city.
The days were cold and rainy, perfect for cozying up inside and listening to Father Stephen's awesome talks on prayer. Saturday was the feast day of St. Therese, which couldn't have worked out better for the retreat theme.
Of course, there was plenty of time for relaxing too, which we spent napping and teaching everyone how to play Dutch Blitz. Basically our life goal.
Evidenced by the giant plastic cactus behind us, Rednal strangely has a Southwestern motif.
Chatting while prepping dinner.
The upstairs chapel. So much time spent there at Mass and in adoration.

The Rednall Southwest theme is quite puzzling.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful--my favorite place :) (also, my blogger dashboard shows a post called "timing" that is not on your blog... thought I'd let you know just in case its supposed to be posted and isn't)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Rednal is long overdue for a makeover! That southwestern theme has always baffled me too. It's so nice up there. I'm sad that I'm not a student anymore, and basically, will never go there again.
