Shepherd's Pie
{From My Mom}
Ingredients:
4 potatoes
Ground beef
Bag of frozen mixed vegetables
Directions:
1. Brown the ground beef in a frying pan. While it's cooking, boil the mixed vegetables according to the package directions.
2. Peel the potatoes and place them in a large saucepan, covered with water. Bring to a boil and then let simmer for ten minutes. Drain the potatoes, return them to the pot and mash 'em. Gradually add 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 stick butter and salt to taste.
3. In a casserole dish, layer the ground beef, followed by the mixed veggies and then the mashed potatoes. Bake at 350 for half an hour. Serves six.
