Sweet Tea

The only beverages you will find in our fridge are milk, orange juice and sweet tea. There are a bazillion different ways to make sweet tea. Here's our favorite method, which of course takes the easy way out.

Sweet Tea

Lipton Cold Brew Tea Bags {kept out on the counter in that vintage flour canister}
Splenda {kept in the coordinating sugar canister}
2 Liter Pitcher
Water, of course!

1. Fill your pitcher with water. Add two tea bags.
2. Let sit for about five minutes, then remove the tea bags.
3. Add 1/3 cup Splenda. Stir till dissolved.

I worked at Sonic in high school and my little sister worked at Chick-fil-A. Trust me, you don't want to know how much sugar is in the sweet tea at those places!

  1. WHOA. You might have already written about this in a previous post, but WHERE did you find those fantastic flour and sugar tins? PLEASE tell me you bought them new somewhere, and they are still for sale!!

  2. Oh. Dumb me. You said right there that they are vintage. Sigh.

You are awesome.
