Jake and Jamie's Wedding

Jake is one of our very best friends from high school. The three of us were all in marching band and science olympiad together. Jake and I were in Latin together as well. Yeah, we were really nerdy.



So, after high school graduation, Jake headed off to Baylor, where he met his bride, Jamie in {you guessed it!} marching band.

Jake proposed during their senior year. Due to the unforeseen circumstances of getting accepted to grad schools in different parts of the state, they had a more than two year engagement.



Since then, Jamie has finished up her master's in flute pedagogy at Texas Women's {fun fact: she was my sister's TA!} and Jake is well into his PhD studies in math at Rice.

They tied the knot in Dallas on New Year's Eve. We were so happy to be there to celebrate with them. Adam even got to be a groomsmen!



The groom's cake was so Jake. We loved it.



While were in Dallas, we got to stay with our good friends, Sam and Ben. Sam and I have known each other since elementary school, but we didn't really become close until high school, when we were also in marching band and science olympiad together.



Sam also went to Baylor and also met her future spouse, Ben, in marching band. Nerdy minds think a like, I guess?



We had so much fun crashing their house and ringing in the New Year together!
