Every year on the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, hundreds of thousands of people converge on the nation's capitol to march for life. In our past years at Pitt, we've always had a test or presentation that's prevented us from attending. Yesterday, we finally got to hop on the Newman Center's bus and make our way to DC.
We attended a rally to hear from the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, and House Majority Leader, Eric Cantor. We marched from the National Mall to the Supreme Court. We ended the day with Mass. We got to be witnesses for life while awaiting the arrival of our little gift of life!

The only time I was able to attend the March for Life was with my 7 month old and being about 2 months pregnant. I cannot imagine a more powerful and more sorrowful time. Once your pregnant & a momma, thinking about the horrific acts that occur to babies while they are the same age in your belly is absolutely heart-wrenching. Brings it into a whole new light. It is so wonderful to know of fabulous parents like yourself.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I am so jealous. The high schoolers and I might be going to March for Life in Austin this Saturday, we shall see!
