Last Sunday, we welcomed our daughter into the Catholic Church! She was baptized at our home parish, the same church where we were married almost two years ago.
Claire wore the gown that Adam's mom was baptized in. Adam and all his cousins were baptized wearing it too.
We asked my sister, Allison, and our good friend from the Newman Center, Andy, to be her godparents.
After the baptism, we had a little brunch to celebrate. We served quiche florentine, Panera bagels, fruit salad, Orangina, and the Pioneer Woman's Texas sheet cake for dessert.
As a baptism gift, we gave Claire a board book and St. Clare doll. Her godmother gave Claire that fun children's rosary.
We're really grateful to all the friends and family that came out to witness our daughter becoming a child of God. Adam's Uncle Mike and my best friend, Sam, drove down from Dallas to be there. Allison's best friend, Kailin, came from San Antonio. We're especially thankful to Claire's godfather, Andy, who flew all the way from Pittsburgh. It was his first plane ride, too!

Whoa. Those Saint Softies are GREAT! Thanks for turning my eyes onto that! Ps. Welcome Home, Claire!
