Mission Accomplished

Every year, I make it my goal to get all of our Christmas preparations done before the first Sunday of Advent. This makes for a fairly busy November, but it's so nice to have a peaceful Advent season, especially now that neither of us has finals to take! So, I am happy to report that...

Christmas Cards

The cards are in the mail.

Christmas Decorations

The tree is trimmed.

Christmas Decorations

The stockings are hung.

Christmas Decorations

The wreath is lit.

Christmas Presents

Christmas Presents

And the presents are wrapped. {I am super impressed that we got them into one suitcase! They are hiding in the dining room because a certain baby who's greatest pleasure is ripping up paper hasn't figured out how to get in there yet.}

Christmas Cookies

Now all we have left is baking! Thanks to Trader Joe's and my mother-in-law's tradition of baking literally hundreds of cookies each year, I think I will keep it simple with just my favorite shortbread and fudge.

First Christmas Tree!

We put the tree up yesterday during Claire's nap. She was so excited to see the transformation and has spent the majority of her waking hours underneath it ever since.

First Christmas Tree!

Don't worry, she did get to put her very own first Christmas ornament on the tree!

  1. How you do it all with a baby is beyond me! Way impressed with how on top of it you are. I always fall short. You usually are the first Christmas Card I get each year. But, this year...someone had you beat and must have sent their's out the day after Thanksgiving. But, you took a noble second. (I have still YET to order mine). Why am I dragging my feet? I don't know. I have them ready to print on my Shutterfly account. And that final picture...A.DOR.A.BLE.

  2. HOW ARE YOU SO PRODUCTIVE?

If only I could channel your productivity power and finish writing this capstone!

  3. Wow... I'm so impressed! Your house looks just lovely and as for baby Claire ... what an adorable little one! You'll have to post about your organizational tips some time -- I know I'll be wanting those when I'm a new mom myself. :)
