Let's Talk About Clothes

Happy Easter! I hope you all had a wonderful day and continue the celebration throughout the octave. I have lots of cute pictures to share of the girls in their Easter finery, but we'll get to that later.

Right now, let's talk about clothes. My birthday is coming up in about a month and that means - shopping money! First on my agenda is a new swim suit, since we're spending a week at the beach in June. I currently only have one, that I bought after Claire was born and realized that my old swim suits were never going to fit up top (modestly at least!) again. It's this basic black one from Land's End.

LE Grecian One Piece

I'm thinking it might be nice to have a tankini and something with a little more color. I like Land's End because they have a lot of support up top, which is super essential for me, but some of their styles are not exactly youthful. This one might fit the bill? I'm worried that it might be too low-cut though.

LE Stripe Shirred Tankini

I really, really, really love this one from Rey Swimwear. But it's $100 and I think I would probably need to add the extra bra support for another $30, which would probably add up to quite a large portion of my birthday money. Is it worth it? And I'm always nervous about ordering things online that I can't just return to a store.

Rey Marie Swimdress

I love wearing casual dresses in the summer, but I don't have any that are nursing friendly. Another requirement of mine is that they must have sleeves. Elbow sleeves are the absolute best in my book. These two from Land's End are pretty cute, I think.

LE Dot Wrap Dress

Boden is my absolute favorite clothing store, although I only own two cardigans from there. Everything is just so cute and colorful and right up my alley. I'm super obsessed with these tops and can't decide which one I like best. Stripes! Polka dots! Cheerful colors!

Boden Shirts

We have a Gap credit card (because we shop at Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic the most as a family unit) and we've racked up $60 in rewards, which as the chief shopper/bill payer/person most in need of new clothing, I am claiming for myself. Right now, I'm leaning towards using them for another Banana Republic Sloan pencil skirt, although I don't like either of these colors as much as my emerald green one.

BR Pencil Skirts

I have a $15 credit to Everlane. I've been really happy with my white and black v-neck tees from them. I've so wished they made a gray one though (the most versatile tee in my opinion) and they are finally coming out with it in May.

I also have a gift card to Target, which I'm hoping to use for another swim cover-up. I have one like this, but I'm thinking a duplicate might be nice.

Oh, decisions, decisions!

  1. I am in desperate need of some summer clothes ... thanks for sharing the links!

I had good luck ordering a suit from Modcloth (which probably won't fit anymore) but it is a risk. I do like that Land's End one though!

  2. I like the stripe lands end swimsuit the best! Also you might find that you have a shirt twin with those Boden shirts. I am in love with them!

  3. Zappos is a great place to order a bathing suit because you can easily do a return with their free shipping both ways.
