I was hoping to write a quick takes post during nap time yesterday, but I decided to be a good homemaker instead - making blackberry ice cream and red beans and rice, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, bathing my children.
My parents are set to arrive any moment and I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon, so I'm just going to throw up some pictures from last weekend while the girls are watching Peppa Pig. On Saturday, we went to Gas Works Park on Lake Union for kite-flying and a picnic lunch.
We had dinner at our favorite local restaurant, The Tipsy Cow, that evening (somehow we had taken every visitor there except for Allie!) and had a relaxing Sunday with Mass and the premiere of Downton Abbey (the only show I'll go to questionable lengths for). A lovely September weekend, even with the yard work that kept us busy during nap times.
