Next spring, Adam and I are planning to spend a semester in Provence. I am minoring in French, but my pronunciation is pretty atrocious. I'm hoping being immersed in the language will help with this problem.
The program we're going with has two breaks built in. One break is a week long, while the other is two weeks long. We're tentatively going to spend the shorter break visiting Rome, Venice, and Vienna. The longer break will be a tour of the British Isles, with a lot of time spent in Ireland. We're also hoping to spend long weekends in Paris, Barcelona, and Switzerland (destinations two to three hours away from our base city, Aix-en-Provence). I've spent a lot of time this past week reading guide books about Europe to get a rough idea of how much the trip will cost. I am so excited to finally see all the places I've learned about in history classes!
