Wedding Wednesday: Ceremony & Reception

This past week has been busy, busy, busy figuring out the biggest wedding details - the ceremony and reception.

We are getting married at our home parish, St. Mary Magdalene, at 11:00 in the morning on July 31st. A deacon {like a priest except they can be married and can't give out communion} will be performing the ceremony. We're really happy with this because he and his wife got married young too, so he has a lot of good advice in our marriage prep sessions. Our high school youth minister will be singing during the ceremony, which is also really exciting!

We're having the reception at Redstone Golf Club, a swanky country club about fifteen minutes from the church. Don't worry though, there won't be any boring country club food. We're serving chips & queso, fajitas, and key lime pie for dessert. We also made the big decision not to have dancing, mainly because we don't like dancing that much and would rather spend the time catching up with all our relatives.

Finally, one of Allison's babysitting clients, Amy Jo Bland, will be our photographer. She did a great job with Allison's senior pictures last May. I hope she can work the same magic on me and Adam!
