Adam and I celebrated Easter by going to Mass in a 12th-century cathedral. Even though we didn't understand everything, it was such an amazing service! Plus, we were sitting behind an adorable little baby, which always makes church even more enjoyable.
When we got back from church, we saw that the Easter Bunny had left us a little surprise! {They sell plenty of Easter candy in France, but no Easter baskets, plastic eggs, or egg dying kits. Weird, huh? I made do with some clay pots and white paint.}
Then we had a delicious brunch of strawberry and nutella crepes.
Strawberries and chocolate are a match made in heaven. We spent the rest of the day enjoying a few of God's gifts {you know, besides sacrificing his son for our salvation} - walking in the park on a spring afternoon, Scrabble, and a few too many episodes of Friday Night Lights.
As we say in France, "Joyeuses Pâques!"
oh, how i miss easter baskets! that jar of nutella looks larger than normal!
ReplyDeleteI am beyond jealous of your breakfast! Yummy! Glad y'all enjoyed your Easter day!
ReplyDeletep.s. don't make hot cross buns - cinnamon rolls are MUCH better!
