Ice Cream Pie

I can't take very much credit for Allie's birthday dessert. She found the recipe. My dad and Scott made the pie while us ladies were at my shower on Sunday. I just picked up the $6 worth of ingredients at Kroger.

It was delicious, easy, and much cheaper than purchasing an ice cream cake at Coldstone. We made a cookies & cream version, but there are so many other varieties I want to try! Like mint chocolate chip with oreos. Or vanilla with caramel sauce and heath bars. Or chocolate, peanut butter, and Reese's. Oh, the possibilities.

Ice Cream Pie

Pie Shell {Graham Cracker or Oreo}
Half Gallon of Ice Cream
Sauce {Caramel or Hot Fudge}
Crushed Candy or Cookie Topping

1. Soften ice cream and layer half of it on the bottom of the pie crust.
2. Pour a layer of sauce over the ice cream.
3. Sprinkle half of crushed candy/cookie topping over sauce.
4. Repeat! Put back into the freezer until firm.
