Cheap Crafts

Y'all know how much I like to get crafty, so I'm back to show you my two latest projects. My inspiration for both projects came from Pinterest, of course!

Prettified Glass Jars

Glass Jars

Jars saved from pasta sauce, jelly, salsa, etc = $0
Scrapbook paper already on hand = $0
Mod Podge also already on hand = $0

Total cost = $0

These glass jars now hold everything from baking soda to leftover lentils and have definitely upped the cuteness level of the pantry. Here's the tutorial.

Yarn Wrapped Wreath

Yarn Wreath

Wreath form found at Goodwill = $0.75
Yarn = $1.50 {used 40% off coupon at Michael's}
Three sheets of felt = $1.00
One yard of ribbon = $0.75

Total cost = $4.00

This lighting is a little weird in this picture, but you can see how the little wreath adds some pizazz to our door. Here's the tutorial.

  2. Oh my gosh! The wreath! I love love love those felt flowers, and they seem so easy. I like the *idea* of them being on a wreath like that, but somehow the effect is a little stark for my taste. Too thin, maybe? But I'm definitely going to keep this idea in mind as inspiration for some future project...

  3. One of those flowers glued to a ribbon could be a perfect hair accessory...
