Baby Gear: Diapering

Diapering

- Skip Hop Versa diaper bag. I really wanted a diaper bag that looked like a purse, but they were all way out of my price range. Then, thanks to an awesome Black Friday sale, I found this bag marked down from $80 to $15. Score!

- Bum Genius 4.0 cloth diapers with snaps. Adam's parents generously gifted us twelve of these as a baby present. They're adjustable, so this same set of twelve should fit Claire until she's potty-trained. We also went with snaps instead of Velcro to make sure they last a long, long time.

- But, since we have to pay $3 a load for our laundry right now, we're not breaking out the cloth diapers until we move to Seattle. Until then, we're using Seventh Generation disposable diapers and baby wipes, along with Burt's Bees diaper rash cream. Once we make the switch to cloth, we'll probably still use these disposables while traveling or out for the day.

  1. BumGenius 4.0's are great. We only own 2, but I wish we had more. When you do make the switch to cloth, I hope you use cloth wipes too! They're totally easy, and don't add any extra laundry since you just throw them in with the diapers. We just cut up some old rags for them.
