The Weekend

On Saturday morning, we ventured into Seattle to hit up the aquarium.

Seattle Aquarium

It was our first time there and I'd say Claire definitely enjoyed it more than the zoo. Everything's so colorful and easier for little kids to see. Plus, you can stick your nose on the glass, which obviously never gets old.

 The otters and seals were our favorites for sure. The aquarium isn't that big {I think it took us about an hour and a half to get through the whole thing} which was perfect for toddler attention span. But the downside to it's smaller size is that admission is pretty steep. Thankfully, Adam's company discount card got us in for less than half the price!

After Claire's nap, we went for a long walk in the park and had dinner at Chipotle. Because it's so spicy, Chipotle is one of the few restaurants where we get soda instead of water. Water just doesn't do much when your mouth is kind of burning, you know? But then Claire gets so preoccupied asking for sips of our soda that she won't eat her food. Solution? Three kid's milks.

Here's what Claire and I wore to Mass on Sunday morning {linking up with the ladies at FLAP}.

What I Wore Sunday

What I Wore Sunday

Caitlin:

Dress - Motherhood {repeat from last week; I'm running out of clothes here!}
Chambray Top - Shade {sadly now out of business}
Leggings - Motherhood
Shoes - Clarks

Claire:

Skirt and Top - The Children's Place via Grandma
Tights - Carter's
Shoes - Stride Rite
Black Eye - The Coffee Table
Crazy Pigtails - Her Mother {and yogurt in her hair and no time for a bath}

We went for another long walk after Claire's nap, had homemade pizza for dinner, and watched the Charlie Brown Halloween special. Because we thought Claire should have an idea of who she's dressing up as for Halloween! Hint, hint...

  1. Michael ALWAYS has some sort of food in his hair. Every time I give him a bath he makes sure to run his hands through it after eating.

    You look great!

  3. You're looking quite good Momma. However, I'm a little grumpy at you for cutting your hairs! They look cute and "Caitlin-y" to me, but I was loving seeing you with long hairs! Sidenote: I noticed the adorably put together shadowboxes on your mantle. So cute and so special.
