We haven't really celebrated Mother's and Father's Day since becoming parents. Mostly because it's so close to our birthdays. There is Adam's birthday, then two weeks later there is Mother's Day, then two weeks later there is my birthday, then two weeks later there is Father's Day. Um, that's a lot of celebrating. Also, Claire isn't old enough to participate at all. Maybe we'll change our tune in the next year or two when she can get in on the action. But, until then, we still like to do a little something for our parents and grandparents.
I used Claire's hand or foot print to make cards for every major holiday over the past year! Well, except for Christmas, since we sent out photo cards instead.
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. Whew! We shall see if this tradition sticks around when Maggie arrives. I'm not feeling super optimistic...
